BZEE hosts national Info Day in Kiel highlighting career opportunities in the wind energy sector

On 16 October 2025, BZEE hosted a national Info Day at the Alte Mu in Kiel, Germany. A former technical design school turned into an innovation hub. The event introduced participants to career opportunities in the wind energy sector and showcased the main outputs of the WINd project.

Mr. Warren Aspinall, Business Development Manager at BZEE, opened the evening with a presentation titled “New career paths: The transition to wind energy.” He outlined the project’s goals and achievements, presenting the WINd Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), mobile application, and Career Support Platform as essential resources for workforce transition into the renewable energy sector.

The session also featured Mr. Markus Engler from SSW Energy Trading GmbH, who shared insights into his renewable energy start-up that trades wind, and solar, generated electricity across Europe using advanced technologies such as AI. His presentation illustrated the diverse and evolving career opportunities in the renewable energy field.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A and networking session, with 21 external participants. The strong engagement reflected the growing interest in renewable energy careers and underscored the impact of the WINd initiative in supporting Europe’s green transition.
