On 20 November 2025, AEE hosted the national WINd Info Day at the Networking Forum, Pavilion 10, IFEMA, in Madrid, Spain, under the theme “Would you like to become a wind energy professional? Learn about training programmes in the wind energy sector”. The event aimed to highlight training opportunities in the wind energy sector and showcase the contribution of the WINd project to addressing emerging skills needs.
The session opened with Alberto Ceña (CEO, BEPTE), followed by an industry-focused presentation by Esther Lucas (SPIE) and Carlos Molinero (P&C RES), who shared insights on the importance of training for employability in wind turbine maintenance.
The WINd project was then presented by José Manuel Melendi (AEE), alongside Alberto Ceña, introducing the project’s objectives and key educational tools, including the WINd MOOC and mobile application. The programme also included presentations on training opportunities, collaboration pathways, and innovation trends in the wind sector.
The Info Day concluded with closing remarks after an engaging session that provided valuable insights into career pathways, sector skills needs, and professional development opportunities within the wind energy industry.
