IPVC hosts national Info Day in Viana do Castelo showcasing the WINd Project

On 29 October 2025, IPVC hosted its National Info Day at the Auditório Francisco Sampaio in Viana do Castelo, as part of the IPVC Ocean events. The session highlighted the growing importance of the Blue Economy and introduced participants to the WINd project, its progress, and its educational tools.

Beatriz Lima presented the WINd project, outlining its objectives and achievements while providing a detailed demonstration of the WINd Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). She showcased how the MOOC supports skills development and workforce transition toward renewable energy careers, particularly in the wind sector.

Complementary presentations followed, introducing related initiatives in the Blue Economy, which further contextualised WINd’s contribution to sustainable workforce development.

The Info Day gathered 35 participants, mainly faculty members from IPVC’s various schools, and concluded with an engaging discussion and networking session. The lively exchange of ideas reflected strong interest in renewable energy education and the potential of the WINd project to support Europe’s green and blue transitions.
